Our goal is to establish and maintain the highest possible academic standards. Each student is expected to do the assigned work to the best of his or her ability. Progress reports will be sent home at the end of each semester.
To pass a subject, a student must have an average grade of “C” or above. If a student fails two or more core subjects, he or she will not be promoted and must repeat the current grade level. Core subjects include: Math, English Language Arts, Latin, Science, and History/Geography.
Parents who notice that their child is consistently struggling with the homework or spending additional time on it are urged to speak to the child’s teacher as soon as possible.
The Iowa Assessment, Stanford Test, or similar assessment will be administered every spring to provide a standard means of assessing academic progress. Results will be sent to parents as soon as they are received by the school.
